Polyco operate one of the most technically advanced facilities in the UK glove industry and the Technology Centre is uniquely positioned to be able to provide a breadth of experience and advice to the hand protection industry.
Opened in 1999, the Centre offers over 40 UKAS accredited tests on-site. This includes testing gloves, cloths and film materials for tensile strength, dexterity, powder content, water penetration, cut resistance, protein testing, puncture and permeation.
In addition to the comprehensive range of tests, customers benefit from the team of glove industry experts who between them hold positions within a number of industry associations including the CEN European standards committees for both medical and industrial gloves, the BSIF and expert working groups within the EU.
This clear capability in the industry adds great value to our clients, offering a complementary consultancy service to our testing.
