BM Polyco are justly proud of the status that the Technology Centre has gained in the European glove industry since its' inception in 1999 and is part of what makes “the Polyco difference”

For over a decade the Technology Centre has been offering tailored advice and research for all our customers in the medical, industrial and consumer markets. In addition, we have our own UKAS accreditated testing laboratories which give Polyco a unique combination of capabilities for the benefit of all customers.

    The Polyco Technology Centre is one of the most technically advanced facilities in the European glove industry and is uniquely positioned to be able to provide a breadth of experience and advice to the hand protection industry. From permeation testing for chemical handling, through detection of allergenic latex proteins for consumer multiples, to grip analysis for surgical procedures, we can offer help and guidance.

    The Technology Centre offers over 30 UKAS accredited European standard tests in our on-site laboratories. Products tested include gloves, plastic films, cloths and other textile materials.     The Technology Centre has experts in all aspects of glove use, in all of the sectors in which we operate and can offer unrivalled regulatory support. This section makes use of this expertise and contains information and current advice on a range of topics related to gloves and other products.

    Innovation is at the core of the Technology Centre which has the capability of developing and producing prototype gloves using a variety of different technologies. In this way we are able to develop new and innovative products in-house quickly and efficiently.

    The state-of-the-art Technology Centre laboratories at the Enfield head office are equipped to carry out a range of tests on protective gloves. The chemical and physical test laboratories are accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Services) to ISO 17025.
